This is an article that I wrote for the SELF Magazine. The author, Mary O’Connor, writes that our “self-awareness” is a myth. This is a really interesting article that I recommend anyone reading.
Mary’s article is very well written and gives a lot of interesting insight on how we get into the trouble that we can end up in. She says that we only truly know what we’re aware of when we stop to think about it. So by thinking about our self-awareness, we stop to consider our day-to-day habits. We can’t just go to bed and wake up and wonder what we did.
This is a very interesting article. It really does shed more light on why we may not be aware of our actions, and how we can get in trouble because of it. I think one of the most interesting parts of it is how we can become aware of our habits and how we can get ourselves into trouble.
I don’t think I have a whole lot of time to think about, and I’m not sure I want to be in the right place to do so, so if you read this, it’s really interesting.
