Luckily, this problem can be solved with a little bit of calculus! First, let’s find the equation of our second curve, which is r(t) = −t + s. This will be a line that has slope -t and y-intercept t. It crosses the x-axis at ƒ(-x). The other two curves are not quite as straightforward to visualize since they intersect with each other (r(s) = 63+tsinθ), but we can still calculate their equations from what we know about them so far.
