can displacement be greater than distance

I’ve heard that people who live in the country often go without food for days while traveling. It’s an interesting way to break the monotony of the city, but a bit of a disservice to the people who actually live there. You don’t have to be able to cook to have a balanced life.

If you could just get your head around the fact that people spend all their time and energy in the country, then you wouldn’t need to worry about the monotony of the city. While this isn’t a big deal, it does make more sense to think about the world in the same way people think about the economy.

No one really cares about the people who live in the same city as them, but the people who live there do. And the people who live out of town know it too. So when you are going out of town for a few days, or for several years in a row, you can’t really complain about the lack of diversity. You know, the people who live in the same city as you are probably the same people you know, and they are probably the same people you know too.
